India’s Ministry of Cooperation has entered into a significant partnership with Swiggy Instamart, a leading online grocery delivery platform, to promote cooperative dairy products. This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to enhance the availability and visibility of products from cooperative dairy brands, such as Bharat Organics, on Swiggy’s platform.

The signing of the MoU was attended by key officials, including Secretary Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani from the Ministry of Cooperation and Amitesh Jha, CEO of Swiggy Instamart. The agreement is seen as a major step toward boosting market access for cooperative dairy producers, ensuring that their products reach a larger audience across India.

As part of the collaboration, Swiggy will support cooperative dairy brands in various ways, including marketing, promotion, and leveraging consumer technology to better serve customers. This partnership will enable these brands to expand their digital footprint and gain a stronger presence in India’s fast-growing e-commerce and quick commerce (q-commerce) sectors.

The Ministry of Cooperation’s initiative aligns with the government’s efforts to strengthen the cooperative sector and increase its contribution to the country’s economy. By partnering with Swiggy Instamart, the Ministry is providing cooperative dairy brands with a powerful tool to reach urban consumers who rely heavily on online platforms for daily grocery needs.

This collaboration is expected to drive growth for cooperative dairy products while simultaneously improving consumer access to high-quality, locally produced goods. The partnership also marks a significant milestone in India’s journey towards greater digital inclusion for small and medium-sized businesses in the food and beverage sector.
