A new cooperative milk federation in Nanded, Marathwada, is set to revolutionize dairy farming, improve practices, and increase farmers’ income in the region.

In a significant move for the dairy sector in Marathwada, India, a new cooperative milk federation is being established to revolutionize dairy farming and uplift the livelihoods of farmers in the region. The proposed cooperative, located in Nanded, Marathwada, aims to enhance animal husbandry practices, improve the cultivation of animal fodder, and increase milk yields for local farmers.

The federation plans to streamline the milk production and distribution process, providing better income opportunities for the farmers involved. This initiative is supported by key authorities including BJP Rajya Sabha member Ajeet Gopchade and the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. The proposal has already been reviewed and forwarded to the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) for further consideration, with the Ministry of Cooperation backing the move.

Historically, Marathwada has been known for producing Khoya, a traditional dairy product made from milk, and many farmers have relied on this practice for income. The establishment of the cooperative is expected to further boost the region’s dairy industry by introducing more efficient and profitable methods for milk production and distribution.

The new cooperative promises to be a game-changer for dairy farmers in Marathwada, offering support for the sustainable growth of the industry and improving the financial stability of local farmers.
