Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has reinforced food security efforts by producing over 2.6 million tons of dairy, ensuring a stable supply during the holy month of Ramadan. This significant achievement underscores the nation’s capability to sustain dairy production and meet consumer demands during this crucial period.

As part of a Ramadan campaign, the ministry is urging consumers to support local dairy farmers by purchasing locally sourced dairy products such as milk, yogurt, and cream. This initiative not only bolsters the domestic dairy sector but also enhances national food sustainability.

Saudi Arabia continues to demonstrate strong dairy industry growth, achieving an impressive 129% self-sufficiency rate in 2023. This progress aligns with the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to develop a robust and sustainable agricultural sector.

In addition, from April 7 to 11, 2025, the 16th Dairy Olympics will take place in Al Ain, bringing together global dairy experts. The event provides an opportunity to discuss industry advancements and future strategies. Interested participants can register through the official Dairy Olympics platform.
