Burnett Dairy Cooperative, a renowned Wisconsin-based dairy company, achieved remarkable success at the 2025 United States Championship Cheese Contest, earning top honors in multiple categories. Their premium cheese brands—Patria, Fancy, and Wood River Creamery—demonstrated outstanding quality, with Wood River Creamery’s spreadable cheeses standing out.
Burnett Dairy Cooperative, a leading dairy producer based in Grantsburg, Wisconsin, showcased its cheesemaking expertise at the 2025 United States Championship Cheese Contest held in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from March 4–6. The contest, which has celebrated top dairy craftsmanship for over four decades, brought together the nation’s finest cheese producers.
Burnett Dairy Cooperative’s Patria Whole Milk Mozzarella secured a bronze medal with an impressive score of 99, while Fancy Brand Aged Provolone earned silver in its category. The company’s Wood River Creamery line delivered a standout performance, placing in the top three across multiple spreadable cheese classes.
Dr. Swati Verma, R&D Scientist at Burnett Dairy, expressed pride in the innovation behind their premium spreadable cheeses. “Our team has been dedicated to pushing the boundaries of flavor and texture,” she stated. Their Gouda Gruyere, launched in September 2024, has also gained significant industry recognition.
As Burnett Dairy Cooperative continues its legacy of producing award-winning cheeses, they are set to showcase their products at the International Pizza Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada, from March 25-27.
