Mother Dairy, India’s leading dairy company, is set to achieve a 15% growth in turnover, surpassing Rs 17,000 crore in FY25, driven by strong demand and strategic expansion in milk production and distribution.

Mother Dairy, one of India’s leading dairy companies and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), is on track to achieve a remarkable 15% growth in turnover for the fiscal year 2024-25. The company is expected to exceed Rs 17,000 crore in revenue, driven by a surge in demand for its dairy products, edible oils, and horticulture offerings.

Founded in 1974, Mother Dairy was established under the landmark ‘Operation Flood’ initiative, aimed at making India self-sufficient in milk production. The company has been a leader in the Delhi-NCR milk market and operates a vast network of milk processing plants, along with facilities for horticulture and edible oils under the ‘Safal’ and ‘Dhara’ brands.

In an interview with PTI, Managing Director Manish Bandlish stated that fiscal year 2024-25 is particularly significant as the company celebrates its 50th year.

We are poised to conclude the year with an impressive growth of approximately 15%, achieving a turnover exceeding Rs 17,000 crore.”

Mother Dairy’s strategic initiatives have propelled its growth, including expanding its national footprint, enhancing distribution channels, and increasing manufacturing capacity. One of the major expansions is the establishment of a mega milk processing plant in Nagpur, Maharashtra, with a projected investment of Rs 500 crore. This facility, slated to open in 2026, will cater to the central and southern regions of India.

In addition, the company is diversifying its business by laying the foundation for two integrated fruits and vegetables processing plants under the ‘Safal’ brand in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh. These plants will process various fruits, including mango, guava, and pomegranate, and produce frozen french fries for both domestic and international markets.

Mother Dairy’s commitment to innovation is evident in its launch of over 30 new products across different categories during the current fiscal year.

With a strong market presence and ongoing expansion, Mother Dairy is set to continue its upward trajectory, ensuring that it remains a key player in India’s dairy and food sectors.
