Danone Argentina has partnered with 360Energy to transition 90% of its energy consumption to renewable sources, significantly reducing its carbon footprint. The collaboration, formalized on March 21, 2025, will supply Danone’s Longchamps plant with 34 GWh of clean electricity annually, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.

Danone Argentina, a subsidiary of French multinational Danone, has announced a strategic collaboration with 360Energy, a leading renewable energy provider, to power 90% of its operations with clean energy. This shift represents a major step towards sustainability for the dairy and food sector in Argentina.

Under the agreement, 360Energy will supply 34 GWh of renewable electricity annually to Danone’s Longchamps plant, which manufactures well-known dairy brands including Ser, Yogurisimo, La Serenisima, Danonino, Silk, and Casancrem. This clean energy initiative extends beyond production plants to include offices and distribution centers, ensuring a comprehensive approach to reducing the company’s carbon footprint.

To ensure transparency and accountability, Danone will utilize International Renewable Energy Certificates (IRECs) to verify the renewable origin of its energy supply. By adopting clean energy, the company expects to cut its annual CO2 emissions by 8,900 tons, equivalent to planting over 148,000 trees or supplying energy to 5,800 Argentine households for a year.

This initiative aligns with Danone’s global commitment to carbon neutrality, reinforcing its efforts to lead the food industry toward more sustainable practices. The transition also supports Argentina’s broader renewable energy goals, emphasizing the importance of corporate responsibility in tackling climate change.
