Nestlé México, the Mexican arm of the global food and beverage company Nestlé S.A., has reported that 93.9% of its plastic packaging is now recyclable, reinforcing its commitment to a circular economy and responsible waste management.
Operating from Mexico City, the company has redesigned its packaging, reduced plastic use, and expanded its investment in recycling infrastructure. These efforts align with Nestlé’s broader global target of achieving 95% recyclable plastic packaging by 2025.

Brands under Nestlé such as Nescafé, Nespresso, and Purina have launched return programs for capsules and packaging materials, reintegrating used plastics into the production cycle.
Nestlé México is also engaging in multi-sector partnerships with government and private institutions to build sustainable waste solutions in both rural and urban areas. These ongoing efforts support the company’s vision of a regenerative plastic economy that reduces dependency on virgin materials.
With these strides, Nestlé México continues to serve as a benchmark in corporate environmental responsibility, calling on citizens, companies, and authorities to contribute to the transformation of Mexico’s waste management landscape.
