Vermeer Corporation, a leading U.S.-based provider of agricultural machinery, has entered a strategic partnership with G.T. Bunning and Sons Ltd., a company located in Dereham, Norfolk, United Kingdom. Vermeer, headquartered in Iowa, is known for its extensive line of hay and forage equipment, primarily catering to North American livestock farmers. Through this collaboration, Vermeer aims to fill a significant gap in its product lineup by adding manure spreaders to its offerings, enhancing its support for livestock operations.
This partnership, with Bunning’s 40-year experience in manufacturing muck spreaders, aligns with Vermeer’s commitment to improving productivity for farmers and ranchers across the U.S. and Canada. Shane Rourke, managing director of Vermeer Forage Solutions, commented,
Vermeer’s current range includes round balers, mowers, bale processors, and more, with the ZR5-1200 self-propelled baler being one of its flagship products. With the addition of Bunning spreaders, the company further strengthens its equipment lineup, enabling it to serve the agricultural sector more comprehensively.
Bunning, a well-established UK company, views this collaboration as an important step in expanding its presence in North America. Chris Druce, sales director of Bunning, remarked,
The move highlights the growing trend of European agricultural equipment, known for its advanced engineering, making its way into the U.S. market, offering more sophisticated options beyond the dominant domestic brands.
