Mother Dairy, one of India’s leading milk and dairy product companies and a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), has announced a 16% revenue growth for the financial year 2024–25, achieving ₹17,400 crore. The company, based in Delhi, attributed this growth to strategic expansion across products and digital channels.
According to Managing Director Manish Bandlish, approximately 75% of the revenue came from the dairy business, while the rest came from edible oils under the Dhara brand and horticulture products under the Safal brand.
Key contributors to the growth included the launch of over 30 new products in dairy, bakery, and frozen food categories. Additionally, Mother Dairy made significant progress in the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) space, piloting home delivery services from 50 booths across the Delhi-NCR region.
The company also experienced strong momentum in e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms, with sales growing by 50–60%.
To support its growth strategy, Mother Dairy is investing in infrastructure, including a ₹500 crore mega milk processing plant in Nagpur, Maharashtra, scheduled to be operational by 2026. The company is also establishing two integrated fruits and vegetables processing facilities in Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, with a combined investment of ₹350 crore.
Summer-driven categories such as curd, ice creams, and dairy beverages saw a remarkable 40% volume growth during the fiscal year. Looking ahead, the company plans to expand its value-added dairy portfolio with products like premium ice creams, paneer, and Greek yogurt.
These initiatives reflect Mother Dairy’s commitment to innovation, operational expansion, and enhanced consumer reach in India’s evolving dairy market.
