From October 15 to 18, 2024, the IDF World Dairy Summit 2024 was held in Paris, bringing together leaders from the global dairy industry to focus on innovation and sustainability under the theme “Dairy for the Future – Proudly committed to a sustainable world.” Yili Group, a leading dairy manufacturer based in China, was among the key participants, showcasing its commitment to advancing the industry through sustainable practices and innovative product development.
During the summit, Liu Chunxi, Executive President of Yili Group, addressed the inaugural Dairy Leaders’ Forum on Sustainability, where he highlighted the importance of sustainability in the dairy sector for both human health and environmental preservation. Liu emphasized that Yili is committed to collaborating with stakeholders globally to foster a greener future. A significant milestone during the forum was the signing of The Paris Dairy Declaration on Sustainability, which underscores the industry’s collective commitment to sustainable development.
The IDF Dairy Innovation Awards, recognized as one of the most prestigious honors in the dairy sector, were announced on October 18. Yili Group received the Innovation Award in New Product Development – Human Nutrition for its Satine Active Lactoferrin Organic Pure Milk, which exemplifies the company’s innovative approach to addressing consumer needs. Yili stood out with four nominations in various categories, reflecting its leadership in the global dairy landscape.
In addition to the award-winning product, Yili’s Yiniu Youzhi APP was nominated for Innovation in Sustainable Farming Practices, the Cute Star Formula’s Sports Marketing initiative was shortlisted for Innovation in Marketing & Communication, and the Green and Low-Carbon Energy Management Project was recognized for Innovation in Climate Action. As the only Asian dairy company attending the summit, Yili Group showcased a variety of products, including liquid milk, milk powder, yogurt, cheese, and ice cream. The company’s liquid milk division introduced pioneering products such as Satine green and low-carbon pure milk, notable for its unique appearance derived from unbleached paper pulp, significantly reducing ink use in packaging.
