Tillamook County Creamery, an iconic dairy brand from Oregon, is celebrating its 116th anniversary with a massive cheese giveaway. Known for its premium cheddar, the company is offering dairy lovers the chance to win nearly 2,000 pounds of cheese, a gift aptly referred to as a “boatload.” This milestone event coincides with National Cheddar Day, observed on February 13th.
Founded in 1909, Tillamook County Creamery Association (TCCA) traces its roots back to the early days of dairy farming in the region. It was in 1855 that the farmers aboard the Morning Star first brought Tillamook dairy to Portland, establishing the community’s reputation for quality cheese. The co-operative formed in 1909, paving the way for the brand’s expansion and growth in the industry.
For over a century, our farmer-owned co-operative has shared the same determination that inspired those aboard the historic Morning Star. Generations of dairy fans have fueled our passion for delivering premium cheddar, and that’s why we are going overboard this year by gifting a literal boatload of cheese.”
Kate Boltin, Executive Vice President of Marketing at TCCA
The giveaway is open to participants until February 20, with the first 15,000 entries receiving a free cheese coupon worth up to $6. The excitement continues as fans celebrate the rich history of Tillamook and its commitment to providing high-quality dairy products.
