DeLaval introduces Titan™, a revolutionary teat disinfectant with film-forming technology, offering advanced udder protection for dairy cows, reducing the risk of mastitis, and enhancing dairy farm productivity.
DeLaval, a global leader in dairy equipment and solutions, has launched Titan™, an innovative teat disinfectant designed for automated spray systems, bringing a new level of udder protection to dairy farms. Based in Sweden, DeLaval’s latest product features cutting-edge film-forming technology, offering longer-lasting protection against mastitis-causing pathogens such as S. uberis and E. coli. This breakthrough in udder health management marks a significant leap forward for the dairy industry, benefiting farmers worldwide.
Titan represents DeLaval’s first teat spray to incorporate film-forming technology in a convenient spray format. The advanced barrier created by Titan helps protect teats from harmful environmental pathogens, which are often found on farms. This product offers longer-lasting physical protection compared to traditional sprays and has already been tested in farms across Europe, including in Sweden, where it has shown promising results in reducing somatic cell counts.
Nicky Oelbrandt, DeLaval’s Cluster Lead for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) in Udder Health Solutions, praised the product.
Farmers across Europe, including Anki and Magnus Sandin from Älvsbyn, Sweden, have already seen Titan’s effectiveness firsthand. “We had a high somatic cell count of 226,000, but after just three weeks of using Titan, it dropped to 150,000,” they shared.
DeLaval continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing dairy farm solutions with Titan’s ability to work seamlessly with systems like the DeLaval VMS™ milking robot and the DeLaval teat spray robot (TSR).
