Recent Acquisitions and Strategic Moves

Bega Group has been actively expanding its beverage and dairy portfolio in recent years. In 2020, the company acquired Lion Dairy & Drinks from Kirin Holdings for AUD 534 million. This acquisition included 13 manufacturing plants across Australia and added a substantial range of dairy products to Bega Group’s operations.

Earlier in August, Bega Group further expanded its portfolio by acquiring the Betta Milk and Meander Valley Dairy brands from TasFoods. This acquisition also included a royalty-free license to use the Pyengana Dairy brand for milk and cream products in Australia.

Additionally, at the beginning of the year, Bega Group sold its 49% stake in a Hong Kong-based plant-based beverages venture to its partner, Vitasoy International Holdings. This stake was acquired as part of the earlier Lion Dairy & Drinks purchase.

Bega Group’s latest distribution agreement with Naked LifeStyle Group is a strategic move to enhance its beverage portfolio with innovative and sustainable product offerings. This partnership underscores Bega Group’s commitment to meeting consumer demands for diverse beverage options while continuing to strengthen its position in the market. As Bega Group continues to expand its reach and diversify its product lines, it remains well-positioned to adapt to changing consumer preferences and industry trends.
