PRO Refrigeration has launched the PRO Chiller PRO4 Series at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin. This advanced cooling solution features customizable options, simplified maintenance, and reduced footprint, addressing the needs of the dairy and food processing industries.

PRO Refrigeration, a leading designer and manufacturer of packaged chiller systems based in Auburn, Washington, USA, has unveiled its latest innovation, the PRO Chiller PRO4 Series, at the World Dairy Expo taking place from October 1 to October 4 in Madison, Wisconsin. Founded in 1990 by Jim VanderGiessen, Sr. and his son Jim Jr., PRO Refrigeration specializes in delivering high-quality cooling solutions for the food and dairy processing industries, as well as for craft beverages and machine cooling applications.

The PRO Chiller PRO4 Series is touted as the most advanced cooling system in the market today, boasting a reduced footprint, modular design, simplified maintenance, and future-ready circuitry. This cutting-edge series aims to enhance productivity and profitability for dairy farmers, brewers, and distillers alike.

Key features of the PRO4 Series include:

  • Customizable Cooling Solutions: Five mix-and-match compressor options across four independent circuits, allowing for tailored configurations and refrigerant options to meet individual customer needs.
  • Simplified Control Design: Engineered for quick and efficient maintenance, minimizing service interruptions.
  • Redesigned Glycol Tank: A standardized component design that reduces the unit’s footprint by 25%, facilitating easier access, faster production, and lower shipping costs.
  • Upgradeable Circuits: Fully upgradeable circuits enable customers to adapt to evolving refrigerant standards and technologies easily.

In addition to these features, the PRO4 Series includes real-time remote performance monitoring for two years and comprehensive aftermarket support from expert technicians. Customers also have the option to purchase the PRO Heat₂0 module, which recovers waste heat from the cooling apparatus to produce hot water for facility heating or process support.

Jim VanderGiessen, CEO of PRO Refrigeration, expressed the significance of the launch, stating,

“Dairy farmers face significant risks and financial impacts from unreliable cooling systems, which routinely cause quality issues, lost revenue, and unnecessarily high operational costs. We are proud to alleviate such concerns through a modular, redundant system designed for continuous, efficient use in the toughest conditions.”
