Jaipur Dairy has announced a ₹2 per liter price increase for Saras milk products in Rajasthan, effective from August 11, 2024. The new prices apply to various milk types and will also see a 3% rise in booth operator commissions.


Price Increase Details

In a recent move affecting consumers across Rajasthan, Jaipur Dairy Co-Operative has announced a price hike for Saras milk. Starting from the evening of August 11, 2024, the cost of various Saras milk products will increase by ₹2 per liter. This adjustment comes amid ongoing inflation concerns and is set to impact both regular and premium milk varieties.

New Milk Prices

The revised prices for Saras milk products are as follows:

  • Saras Tond (Blue): ₹52 per liter (up from ₹50)
  • Saras Standard (Green): ₹58 per liter (up from ₹56)
  • Saras Gold: ₹66 per liter (up from ₹64)
  • Saras DTM: ₹44 per liter (up from ₹42)

These new rates will be applicable not only in Jaipur but also in surrounding areas including Dudu, Dausa, and Kotputli.

Reasons for the Increase

The price adjustment reflects broader economic trends and inflationary pressures impacting the dairy sector. Manish Faujdar, Managing Director of Jaipur Dairy, confirmed that the decision to raise prices was necessary to align with rising costs and maintain operational stability.

Impact on Booth Operators

In conjunction with the price hike, Jaipur Dairy has also increased the commission for booth operators by 3%. This move aims to support local vendors in managing their costs amid changing market conditions.
