The Inter Dairy Expo 2024, a premier trade fair for the dairy industry, is set to take place from December 5 to 7 at the Bombay Exhibition Center in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Organized by VA Exhibition Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with the Dairy Association of India (Western Region), this event will feature over 120 companies showcasing the latest innovations in dairy technology, from sustainable processing methods to advanced packaging solutions and automation.

This year’s expo aims to highlight the dairy sector’s advancements as India, the world’s largest milk producer, accounts for approximately 24% of global milk production. With a dairy market valued at $125 billion and projected to grow by 9% annually until 2030, the expo underscores the critical role of technology and productivity in boosting the industry. The Government of India’s active support has facilitated these developments, focusing on improving dairy processes from production to packaging.

Dr. R.S. Sodhi, President of the Dairy Association of India, emphasized the significance of the dairy sector, noting its role as a primary livelihood source for over 80 million rural families, especially women and marginalized communities. He highlighted that the dairy sector has contributed to economic independence and social equity, empowering women across rural India, who play a vital role in the industry’s success.

At the expo, visitors will explore various solutions including dairy farming and agricultural equipment, veterinary products, high-precision labeling machinery, cold chain management, logistics, and financial support services. The display will also feature sustainable packaging that enhances both product durability and market appeal, along with cutting-edge preservation methods to maintain dairy quality.

VA Exhibition’s CEO, Ashwini Pandey, highlighted the expo’s focus on knowledge sharing with seminars, CEO conclaves, B2B meetings, and a dedicated startup zone to encourage emerging entrepreneurs in manufacturing and brand building. A high-level seminar hosted by the Indian Dairy Association will also address “Global Market Opportunities for Indian Dairy,” covering topics such as exports, production insights, and regulatory trends to enhance India’s competitiveness in the global dairy market.

The expo will also feature the Inter Dairy Awards on December 5, 2024, recognizing excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurial achievements in the dairy industry.
