MilkLane, a dairy brand under Innoterra, launches a Procurement as a Service (PaaS) solution to supply aflatoxin and antibiotic-safe milk in India, ensuring consistent, high-quality milk for dairy companies, startups, and B2B clients.

MilkLane, a leading dairy brand under the Swiss-Indian food and technology platform Innoterra, has introduced an innovative procurement service offering aflatoxin and antibiotic-safe milk to dairy companies, startups, and new entrants in the Indian dairy sector. This initiative addresses critical quality issues in milk production and ensures a consistent supply of high-grade milk across the country.

The newly launched Procurement as a Service (PaaS) solution focuses on sourcing raw chilled milk (RCM) directly from dairy farmers, who are subject to rigorous quality testing to detect and eliminate aflatoxin and antibiotic residues. MilkLane’s quality checks also cover fat and SNF (Solids Not Fat) levels, microbial counts, and other factors affecting milk safety. This approach guarantees that clients receive fresh, premium milk throughout the year.

The service is currently available in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, with plans to expand to other regions in the future. MilkLane is offering this solution under a flexible model, providing business-to-business (B2B) customers a range of options based on their procurement needs, all at competitive prices. This flexibility allows customers to meet specific demand fluctuations and quality standards.

MilkLane’s parent company, Innoterra, is a Swiss-Indian platform specializing in food and technology solutions. It is committed to empowering farmers, improving supply chains, and ensuring food security. MilkLane, as one of its flagship brands, is dedicated to transforming India’s dairy industry through technological innovation and sustainable practices.

India’s dairy sector, valued at over Rs 16,000 billion in 2023, is experiencing rapid growth. Industry forecasts project the market will reach Rs 50,000 billion by 2032, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 12.88% from 2023 to 2032. As consumer awareness of food safety rises, the demand for uncontaminated, high-quality milk is increasing, creating opportunities for services like MilkLane’s PaaS offering.

Avinash Kasinathan, Head of India Business at Innoterra, emphasized the importance of this service in ensuring consumer safety and meeting industry standards: “With growing consumer demand for safe, high-quality milk, the need for reliable milk sourcing has never been more critical. The dairy sector has long faced challenges such as inconsistent fat and SNF levels, antibiotic contamination, high microbial counts, and aflatoxin presence, all of which compromise product quality and endanger consumer health. Our service aims to address these pain points.”

MilkLane’s initiative is poised to make a significant impact on India’s dairy industry by improving milk quality, ensuring safety, and helping dairy companies meet the increasing demand for high-quality, antibiotic-free milk.
